Inexpensive Way To Insulate Windows And Keep The Cold Out

Insulate Your Home Windows This Winter For Less Than $5 - This Will Save You So Much Money

by Katie Mooney 11/30/2016

For most of us, the winter months bring a chill in the air...and also a few added expenses! Between the gift buying, dining out, entertaining costs, and elevated heating bills - surviving the holiday season (without breaking the bank) can certainly be a challenge! So, if you love a warm and cozy home, and also enjoy saving a few bucks - we've got just the "toasty tip" for you!

As you finish up this year's online present ordering, and the FedEx truck delivers those piles and piles of packages to your door, be sure to save the "stuffing" - it'll save YOU on your heating costs. This "fabulous, fluffy find" will enable you to spend your hard earned money on things you "want" to buy, rather than on things you "have" to pay for...like heat!

AlaskaGranny shares her innovative window insulation idea - bubble wrap! This is one of the most inexpensive and easy ways to keep your home warm this winter. This simple, money-saving "heat hint" will ensure that your home stays roasty-toasty, and that your wallet stays full. Well, at least until "Santa" does his holiday shopping!

Begin by identifying the "drafty" windows in your home which you'd like to insulate. Select a window to begin with, and cut a piece of bubble wrap to fit the size of the glass.

Next, fill a rinsed-out spray bottle with water, as this is what you will use to secure the bubble wrap to the window. Spray the glass with water.

Then, use the water spray bottle to also coat the "bubble" side of the wrap.

Press the bubble wrap against the window, "bubble" side against the glass. Be certain to push all areas of the bubble sheet to ensure a secure stick! Rest assured, when you are ready to remove the wrap it will peel off with ease.

Viola - now THAT'S a wrap! Rather than your home absorbing those gusts of bone-chilling winter wind this season...let the bubble wrap "catch the cold" for you!

Now, lower the shade - "out of sight, out of mind." Heating your home has never been so easy, or inexpensive!

We may not be able to get around the "potentially pricey present purchasing" during the holidays - but there are certainly money-saving secrets out there! Share this helpful hint with your friends and family, and help warm homes everywhere!
