Some people like to get their hands dirty while working in the garden or on a construction project, and some even enjoy their martinis dirty - but NO ONE likes their shower dirty. That black, caked-on, unsightly mold can really put a damper on the experience, as you attempt to unwind at the end of a long work day with a nice hot shower. Ick!
Well, we have a super simple and effective "shower secret" to keep your grout mold-free and bright white - and we're here to share. Say goodbye to the grime, and hello to a shower you're proud to show off!
This little-known cleaning trick is easy and effective. And best of all, it only costs a few dollars. This is the Christmas "grime eliminating" miracle you've been waiting for!
Until now, you've had to put a little (or a lot of) elbow grease in to ensure a sparkling, grime-free shower, but not anymore. With Life as a Twin Mom's tidy trick, the mold literally fades before your eyes! All you'll need for this quick cleaning project is a bottle of bleach, a package of cotton beauty coils, and a pair of rubber gloves.
Once you've saturated the cotton strand, pull it back out slowly. As you remove the cotton, gently run it between your fingers to squeeze out some of the excess liquid. You want your cotton to be "wet," but not "dripping."
Next, press the cotton snuggly against the grime-covered grout. You can run the coils vertically too (they should stick well) - so don't forget those moldy cracks that run up the corners of the shower tile. Do your best to keep the strips on only the grout, as you don't want the bleach to harm the finish on your tub.
Once you've covered all of the targeted areas, let it sit. The bleach will do the "dirty work" - while you find something more enjoyable than cleaning to fill your time!
This process could work in as little as 20 minutes - however, you'll want to do a "sneak peek" from time to time to see if the bleach needs a little longer to work its magic. For those especially "dirty jobs," you can leave the cotton on overnight.
Once you are happy with the results, simply peel off the strands and drop them into a plastic bag. They will have a powerful scent, and the plastic bag allows you to tie 'em and toss 'em!
Life as a Twin Mom's before and after shots have not been air-brushed, touched up, or altered in any way - this is the "real deal" folks! Save your scrub brush for another cleaning project because with this handy hint, you sure won't need it for the shower!
